Of the 30 million Americans living with Diabetes today, 90 – 95% of them have type-2 Diabetes. Type-2 diabetes, defined by the body’s inability to regulate insulin levels in the pancreas, gradually develops over years of physical inactivity, unhealthy diet, and genetics. While the illness predominately effects individuals over the age of 45, there is an increasing number of adolescents and young adults developing type-2 diabetes every day.
